The masseria Cervarolo

We stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed for more! What a magical place this is and what a treat to be able to stay in a trullo. The setting is beautiful, full of character and charm. In addition to the room, there are many places to sit and relax including a beautiful lounge, outdoor bar area with a few nooks and by the poolside. While we were there, we partook in a complimentary cooking class where we learnt how to make local traditional recipes. All of the staff were so kind and welcoming, always so thoughtful and going above and beyond for their customers. We did try the tasting menu on our first evening and you could tell that the ingredients were of a very high quality. For us, it was a little over-priced for the offering so we didn't try that again. But the lunch offerings are great and you are able to order from the pool bar until 6.30pm. The breakfast buffet was a delicious offering of home-made cakes and tarts as well as plentiful fresh and local delights. Just to mention that some other guests have left negative reviews as they expected a higher standard but personally it is a place that offers you an experience and there is so much thought and consideration put into the decor and the details. We loved the traditional feel of the bathroom and the accessories that felt in keeping with the aesthetics of the trullo. All in all, it felt like a very magical place to stay and a highlight of our trip, we would love to return and highly recommend it.
